      Pros

      Company leadership has integrity and values employees. Big emphasis on work/life balance with reasonable workload. Coworkers willing to go the extra mile to help each other. Exciting and every changing engineering work with unique challenges each project cycle.

      Cons

      Difficult to get hired into the company due to narrow requirements on GPA and other factors. Once hired, very difficult to get fired so there is a small percentage of dead weight in the company.

      Pros

      Garmin really feels like an engineering company. The priority is quality. There are many bright engineers to help you out if you get stuck. The work life balance is great with no one asking you to put in extra time.

      Cons

      There are processes that help ensure quality but slow down the process. For the company that's good, but sometimes you wish you could just crank out code.
