Pros

Young and energetic company. Room for growth and development if you want to stay in Fort Myers. Sales methodology they teach is valuable beyond Gartner. Free gym onsite and cheap breakfast.

Cons

Frat-house environment, 1st year managers who micromanage, earning potential is skewed and success is highly dependent on the team, territory and accounts inherited. (i.e. healthcare sells the most, if you have a whole region instead of letters in one state and if the accounts are happy and not wanting to already cancel before you speak to them). Fort Myers is not ideal for people without families and single or in long distance relationship. Very slow lifestyle and not much to do or people to meet outside of Gartner.

Pros

Coworkers are great, hard working people. Gartner is known for having a rigorous interview process and recruiting top talent because of it. That being said, do not make suggestions or comments about how things are run, it is very frowned upon and punished. Gartner has a really strong brand in their field, looks great on a resume. You have the opportunity to service awesome and well-known companies and make great connections that way. Depending on your manager, it is a fairly easy going work environment but can be tense at times. Amazing benefits, good pay, and great PTO! I would highly recommend this position if you are going to grad school.

Cons

Because it's a remote office, you don't get the same perks as the headquarters (FL, CT, CA). Management uses the budget for random decorations and things which leaves the office with no budget to do office activities and puts more of a damper on morale. No office supplies (kleenex included so be prepared to bring your own!). No career path (the recruiter will tell you otherwise) if you want to stay in UT. The job requires you to be on the phone a bit so the culture is changing to more of a call center environment. There is a lot of pressure, to the point that there are some employees (yes, more than one) that have asked their doctors for Ritalin to help them focus better. Your experience is greatly determined depending on your manager. They don't care about you, they care solely about your performance. They are working on improving morale which is great but have a very, very long road ahead of them. If you are applying for this position then make sure you ask very thorough questions to the everyone you interview with, especially if you make it to the last interview portion and get to ask a current CRA questions (the opinion of the CRA in the interview has no sway on the employment decision).

Pros

Young office, great culture, new buildings make for a clean and fresh working environment. Fort Myers isn't a destination city but offers a very low cost of living and has the basics covered.

Cons

"Opportunity" is not what they make it seem. If you're not placed on a vertical team (healthcare or fin-serv) you should look elsewhere bc you have very little opportunity, if any, to grow.
