Pros

Growing company and very interesting business. Certain departments are extremely well- managed with happy employees.

Cons

Basically a cheap company, strives for mediocrity re salary, etc., still catching up on the HR policy spectrum.

Pros

Working with genuine and intelligent people. Very competitive compensation without having to climb the ladder first. Start with a book of business so you don't have to "dial for dollars". Great culture.

Cons

In sales, your work becomes a significant part of who your personal life and your personality. That said, there are much worse personalities to take on than being a representative for a well-respected company like Gartner.

Pros

Competitive pay, easy work, the true responsibilities of the jobs are not very complex or demanding, it is also completely laid out for you and they give you ample time to get comfortable in the position. The training opportunities for professional development are really great as well.

Cons

When you perform well, but still do not hit your numbers perfect you end up having to schedule meetings on what your strategy is to be perfect. There is no congratulations great job, it is "How are you going to get to 100%". They put you through a training academy where you learn the philosophy of doing your job, but almost none of what you really need to know to DO you job when you get out. All around the culture is extremely numbers oriented and it is hard to maintain a human identity in all of it. High stress for such a simple job. Considering it takes 5 interviews to get through it seemed a bit unnecessary once you get into the role and see what is needed. There is also way too many meetings for everything, every to do item becomes multiple meetings, it is a big waste of time. You will be micromanaged all day long.
