      Good place to work if it's the job for you. and there are a few buts..

      Pros

      Company: -Market leader and well respected -Great culture & collaboration -Incredibly smart people work here JOB: -pay per performance. good bonuses and commission once you made your number -opportunity for learning, growing and being promoted -High paced and growing channel -good training

      Cons

      Company: - will the growth be infinite? are Gartner's services and market approach still optimal in 2012? - every year growth targets get bigger -employee turnover in some departments Job: - every year growth targets get bigger, client retention is only stable at best. - base and OTE salary are below average - lots of growth leads to lots of promotions. because of this, some of them are questionable - disparity in territory & quotas between teams and sales people within the same team. no fixed rule, it comes down to the Area Manager's preference

      - Extremely supportive environment from all levels - The professional and senior level amongst all employees - Core product, to objectively support technology related decision, is fun, versatile, strong, competitive and inspiring. - Customer Centric - Development & Education (in particular for management) - Flat organisation - Uncapped Commission & reward travel - Great differentiation

      Cons

      - training for sales people could be prolonged/once a year - salary compared to similar companies - Should enable better collaboration amongst global sales teams

      Career changing place to work

      Pros

      You have access to a vast amount of technology insight that you can't get anywhere else. If you put in the time to read the reports you will be smarter that when you first joined. They provide the best sales training that is effective and powerful. You feel that you truly work for the best company in research and advisory - bar none. The Winner's Circle events are great recognition. More importantly, everyone is recognized when they do a job well done. Area Managers are very good at recognition in a timely manner. Work/Life balance is great. You work from home - so you must be a self-starter. The events wow every attendee.

      Cons

      High turnover of sales people. Limited career path in sales - Senior Account Manager to an Area Manager to 1 VP to SVP.
