Pros

Great peers, extensive training on the art of selling, good benefits, beautiful location. Can be an amazing experience if you make it through training and get a manager who likes you and doesn't micro manage.

Cons

Don't be fooled by the recruiters. They say they hire only the best, but what they really mean is they temporarily hire a group of promising candidates and see which ones they can weed out. YOU CAN BE CUT DURING TRAINING. Our group lost almost a third of the "best people" They "hired" Which is strange since the recruitment process is so long. If you do make it past the 8 weeks of training, you will be metric-ed to death and "encouraged" to work well after normal operating hours. Work life balance is an absolute lie here until you survive at least a calendar year or are a favorite of your manager.

Pros

•Recognized brand name that looks strong on a resume •Some incredibly smart, supportive peers who genuinely want to help each other succeed •Access to executive-level conversations and exposure to major tech vendors •Strong onboarding and training programs early in your tenure

Cons

•Leadership and culture have become increasingly toxic, performance management is often punitive rather than developmental •Performance Improvement Plans are frequently used to push people out, not to help them improve •Lack of consistency in management — your experience depends entirely on who your manager is •HR claims to support fairness and inclusion, but will almost always side with management regardless of evidence •Unrealistic expectations with moving targets and constant micromanagement •Burnout is normalized and turnover is extremely high, especially among strong performers who simply get worn down •Little recognition for the people actually doing the work; upper management is out of touch with day-to-day reality

Pros

Smart analysts as colleagues to work with. Challenging environment.

Cons

The worst analysts end up becoming managers. Too much meddling by clueless non SME managers under the pretext of “content quality”. Slow research publication process. In person client interaction is discouraged resulting in buyer dissatisfaction. Overall toxic environment. Research division and analyst morale in decline for the last 4 years or so. Executive management team clueless. Throws darts and reorganizes teams with zero strategy causing unnecessary churn and anxiety resulting in a toxic environment. Management jobs are filled through cronyism often without advertising them transparently.
