Gartner Leadership Partner Position Service Delivery Focus Failure

Pros

Comprehensive interview process that identifies highly qualified candidates. Research and research analysts that at times can be insightful and useful to Gartner's customer base. A reputation that from the outside suggests service delivery competence and research effectiveness for it's customer base.

Cons

For experienced and qualified professionals who value their ability to delivery advisory services quality and client value through their professional experiences, qualifications and accomplishments, this job was a disappointment. The company places a priority on sales, sales support expertise and sales performance with nominal value being placed on service delivery quality for clients. The micro management and front line supervision focus that senior personnel recruited for Leadership Partner positions receive from Gartner is at times demeaning and demoralizing. If you are a senior executive who values your career accomplishments, expertise and experiences gained through a successful career in either consulting, advisory services and / or IT operations management you should reconsider taking a position with Gartner. Your priority will be sales or sales support, not service delivery quality.

Pros

Great pay, smart people, but they only keep it to them self and then scold you for not being good enough

Cons

No sense of work/life balance. Seniors do not care to invest in training in junior associates. INVEST in training of your employees; don't just throw us research

Pros

Bright, energetic colleagues doing outstanding work on behalf of the most recognized and leading companies in industry.

Cons

Has a "burn and churn" company culture which results in high turnover and over stressed employees. Also has an awful lot of sexism and racism.
