A Warning to the Wise

Pros

You sometimes get free stuff that the company makes. There are happy hours and the employees (not leadership) are generally good people. The health insurance is really good.

Cons

Leadership has zero business sense. I do believe one or so of the four executives has business sense - but is steamrolled by a CEO (this has it wrong - CEO is NOT Greg Gartner) on a regular basis. It is certainly a con that this Glassdoor listing is screwed up. There appears to be two Gartner Studios and the one with positive reviews is piggybacking off of this one out of Stillwater, MN. I assure you, the retail company in Stillwater has nothing good going for it in the next year. Everyone is actively trying to jump ship. No actual bonuses for employees, execs hoard it all. No 401k match. Overworked to 50 hours a week - you go in to work 10 hours and often bring your laptop home to work until bed.

Pros

Unique office environment and location.

Cons

-No work life balance, always rushing to complete projects on unrealistic timelines, very reactive not proactive. -Outdated technology, product development systems and communication tools, way too many emails and duplicative work. -CEO is involved in everything, only leadership opinion matters. -Attitudes are very poor, especially from leadership, very negative and not solution orientated. Leaders will argue with each other in group meetings. -Unpleasant culture, not forward thinking, strategic or looking for ways to improve. -Sourcing and overseas vendors do not support the customers needs and on trend development. This involves presenting ideas to customers that are old or not fully developed, tested or executed, resulting in reactionary steps on the back end. -Domestic QA is a joke, not sure what they do, always complain, not helpful in finding solutions or proactive planning. -The corporate office is unique but outdated, invest in the right organizational tools, storage, workrooms, offices, gathering spaces and technology to support a team that must go into the office.
