Pros

Largest rural health care system in a rural, beautiful setting for those who like that. Little competition in the region until recently (which is good and bad, really). Certain clinical departments are superb. Online medical records provide the opportunity to patients for greater transparency, improved communication, and more efficiency if one is an educated patient. This seems minor, but it’s huge.

Cons

Previous Executive leader was a resume- builder and left after a short time …Need executive leaders invested, from the area, who intend to stay a longer time to improve the quality, productivity, and financing of health care with a more concise, yet progressive vision. Do physicians have a meaningful performance incentive? Everyone needs to contribute like it’s their own company.
