Pros

Good covid response Remote work Benefits seem okay if you are allowed to take PTO.

Cons

Salary is not competitive and no where near market rate. Upper management aware of issue but plan to take no action. No growth. Weekly work is expected minimum 40 with 50+ the norm with on call duties.

Pros

Pretty good benefits, decent pay especially for the area (but also way lower than PA average according to AAPA salary review).

Cons

Overworked, undervalued. Docs are appreciative of us, but admin treats everyone like they’re easily replaceable and don’t want to work yet expect us to do every job under the sun without sufficient support. You are paid for 40 hours a week when you’re expected to work 50-60 (“salaried”), PAs expected to act as sub specialist physicians even when they know little to nothing about the area and haven’t had years of residency/fellowship training like docs…and don’t have easy access to a sub specialist physician despite forcing APs to see those patients. We are basically expected to be physicians, nurses, scheduling/rooming all in a days work.
