Pros

- Great learning experience and alternative career options especially for those coming from Research (postdocs, PhD students, Grad students) - Meal subsidies - Above average compensation and benefits - CEO is nice and friendly - Free parking space - Management is doing its best to accommodate concerns of staff - Business is growing and have lots of potential - Friendly and approachable HR staff

Cons

- Too much focus on KPI vis a vis Commission. Almost everyone is talking about KPI and their bonus ( or lack thereof) - Quite a culture struggle for non-Chinese - Expect to work beyond 8 hours without OT pay - Favoritism (some) - Medical Insurance provider is not good

As you know we have a strong goal-driven culture and we treat KPI seriously, I have to say that there are room for improvement in KPI measurement, so that it better reflect the actual performance. we will continue improving as suggested, and wish you best luck too.

Pros

1) if you are looking to gain weight, their $3 per day lunch program is the best. 2) Take brisk walks with Managers if you want promotions.

Cons

1) Training sessions and workshops are below standard and very unprofessional. Can't understand the speakers most of the time. Always have technical issues with Skype business calls. 2) Kitchen during the lunch time is very hostile for non-Mandarin speakers. 3) Commission structure is always a moving target. As soon as the Management (in China) finds out you are making more commission they will change the rules to reduce the commission. Employees don't have a say, it is more like a Nazi ruling. 4) HR are best friends with Managers, so nothing remains confidential.

I would like to thank you for the detailed feedback, glad you liked our lunch program, and we hope you enjoyed the brisk walk too because that's what keeps us from gaining too much weight. We are sorry if language barrier is the main reason for you to leave. we are an international company, although we work with English we try not to be too strict at non-working space. I agree that communication with management is not always easy, which you will find same in your second job and so on, but direct communication should have been the best approach. Lastly, we think cultural unfitness is the top reason for people to leave companies, it has nothing to do with salaries, benefits or how smart people are, we wish you best luck.

Pros

Friendly environment, co-worker in the same department is very willing to help out when the situation demands it. Communications between management and team member have been increasing, and to great effect. Prone to promote within the company, as long as you are willing to work hard, and stuck to the same company.

Cons

Very stingy with vacation/holiday. As a provider for federal institutes, it should provide at least 5 days of sick time, we only get three, now two more days as personal days, which requires supervisor approval. No holidays between Jan to the end of May, and no veteran's day, or several other federal holidays. Total only 7 days of holiday time in the whole year.
