      Good but with caveats

      Pros

      Good pay and generally a good introduction to more specified lab work.

      Cons

      Expect being blocked from developing further than 'your' area unless its needed. Favorites are played here, and if you end up on someone bad side its the end of you. The blame culture here is also very real, expect to defend your results from not only management but also coworkers, document everything.

      Nepotism

      Pros

      Good employees with friendly nature.

      Cons

      Poor employee management. Nepotism CTO knows CEO, Group head knows CTO. If you speak mandarin you will be favoured. No work from home is allowed, No comp. time is given for extra hours of work. Work environment has become toxic after hopewell site acquisition. Retaliatory action is taken if you ask questions.
