Pros

I worked in Genscript about five years. This is a great company: the employees are very nice and highly educated. The company has a good system and a strong top leadership! The manager of the shipping department is very knowledgeable and helpful. I believe, Genscript will grow bigger and stronger!

Cons

Expect more employee culture/sport activities.

Not a FAKE review!

Pros

To all the people complaining, former or current, if you want to work an 8 hour day go work in a position that requires that time on commitment - I hear MacDonald's is hiring. If you have done a PhD and were lucky enough to score a management position i a biotech company (any biotech with little to no industry experience) you should feel very lucky. You can build industry skills, get to know other industry leaders and then move on to better and in your view greener pastures. If you did a PhD with fewer than 8 hours and you had work-life balance then that itself is really strange. A PhD pays far far less, you need to put in 12+ hours a day and weekends. Well that was my PhD. To get any where, to get noticed as reliable, you gotta prove yourself, if you want change, suck it up and rise to the top - then as CEO or VP you can make those changes happen more. And if you are a current employee posting bad reviews, why waste your time posting such bad reviews when you should be using that time looking for a new position. Thought I didn't take up the offer (various reasons but yes benefits did play a part) the opportunities the company was offering were fantastic for career growth. If you don't fit into the culture, your work ethic is low then you wont succeed, in this company or any other.

Cons

Benefits really do need some improvement, they are reasonable but for a biotech with a nice cash flow this extra cash flow could be directed to staff benefits.
