Pros
The people at GA Seattle were some of the best people I've worked with. Everyone's hard-working, young, and personable. As an instructor, I had a lot of empowerment and flexibility to shape the curriculum and teach the latest technologies that were being used in the industry. There were many opportunities to collaborate with others, and the experience of teaching students and seeing them get jobs was very gratifying.
Cons
One thing I experienced as a GA instructor was no work-life balance. Your brain will always be thinking about student progress, planning lessons, and giving feedback. However, it's almost expected when teaching an "immersive" technology course. Most of my gripes have to do with GA's management. Many of GA's policies and curriculum details came from the top, with little input from instructors or local staff. This caused a lot of friction because the policies tended to interfere with the innovation and goals of local campuses. This, along with the lack of work-life balance and competitive benefits, led to high employee turnover. Most of my coworkers have since moved on.
