-The people you work with instore make or break your time at the company I consider myself one of the lucky -if you’re a big fan of GP brands the discounts are pretty good as well as no strict pressure on having to wear the brand - one of the higher paying retail companies - decent area manager support (now)

Cons

- Nowadays everything is last minute Promos last minute, orders galore, not enough recognition in terms of realistic hours based on store grades and not enough time to roster accordingly for it as things get sprung on you so late - Heavy workload for managers, you’re doing the jobs of VM, stocky, warehouse packer… etc - Progression does NOT go beyond store level, I have never seen an internal manager get into a cluster role within my time there, they would rather hire external. Though if managing a flagship store is your goal and using that as a stepping stone then yes you can make that happen
