Pros

Great benefits (PTO, paid holidays, 401K match, dental, vision, medical etc.) Confidence building (not micro-managed, management supports you & encourages you) Quarterly bonuses (10% of net income, divided evenly between all company.) Annual Corporate Cup (team building & bonding sport competitions) Kazoo (gain points from being recognized by co-workers and other staff, can use points to buy prizes & gifts) Employee focus group (appointed employees meet and discuss what the company could change or improve at retail level) CEO is involved and accepted (CEO is always involved with the company. He communicates company news and changes effectively. He shows up to events and visits branches. He proactively tackles things going on with COVID & other societal problems.) Human Resource (HR is amazing and extremely helpful! They are always encouraging a healthy work/life balance & also very informative on all topics whether it be physical or mental health.) Family (Your team is like family. We go through everything together. We got each other’s back all the time.) Promote from within (Promotions are always encouraged here! Especially from within.)

Cons

Pay (Increased minimum to $17, which in my opinion is lower than other financial institutions. Also cost of living is not easy making $17 these days.) Saturday hours (Before lobbies closed due to COVID, branches closed at 1 pm. When we opened our lobbies back up, weekday hours went back to normal but not Saturday hours. It’s not fair when only RETAIL has to work until 4 pm while all the other departments get to leave by 1 pm. Also we hardly have any members after 1/2 pm so we just sit there with nothing to do until 4 pm.) Schedules (Management posts schedules last minute and doesn’t really pay attention to PTO requests so they’re having to change everyone’s schedule last minute. Also seems like they don’t know how to schedule employees because everyone leaves at/around the same time so, that’s not good when there’s going to be only 1 employee working Teller/Platform all alone.) Staffing (Upper retail management won’t allow us to hire more staff when we’re obviously struggling and have tons of complaints about short-staffing. Not fair to associates working their hardest & it’s still not enough.) Branch management never closes. (Associates & Leaders ALWAYS close. Why does management never close? I feel there should be an even amount of closing and opening shifts per employee. Management chooses 1 associate to close/open for the whole week & sometimes weeks. It’s not a fair system.) Offering (Depending on what your position is, you have a dollar amount to reach every month. Offering is extremely pushed and this is a huge factor looked at for promotions. I feel members become annoyed especially regular members that come daily.)
