Pros

Worked with a great team of therapist. Free CEUs offered on their intranet website.

Cons

Productivity expectations make it difficult to provide both quality care and good documentation. Expected to be 90% productive as a PTA. Mandatory training/ in-services and weekly staff meeting not paid for in order to keep productivity up. New hire training is unorganized/ chaotic. Quality time is not spent on training to ensure employees understand their job, are familiar with the company, and know their benefits. This seems to be partly due to productivity expectations and partly due to a sloppy company. Benefits continue to be cut. You have only 2 paid holidays per year, Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day. If you want another holiday off, you have to come in on the weekend to make that day up. You are offered vacation time and PTO, but it's almost impossible to use it. You have to give notice months in advance for days off. The therapy group is only allowed a certain number of days off per month, so if someone has a week vacation then no one else can have a day off that month. It census is low, and nearby facilities don't need help, in order to get your hours in you either have to drive to a facility far away or pad you hours using benefit time. If you are full-time, and you don't get your full-time hours , your benefits will eventually be cut and your status will change to part-time.

Pros

Flexible schedule and that's literally the only Pro. I would have given zero stars if that was an option!

Cons

Layoffs, layoffs and more layoffs. The office is like a morgue! Only positive is that there's always good parking spots now. No raises for corporate staff, but the CEO got a 9% raise this year (9% of a million $ salary!! - Genesis is now a public company so this information is published). No 401K match (even though they advertise this). Very expensive medical/dental insurance with high deductible (it's only good for preventative care and nothing else and costs $900/month for family coverage). Manager shows obvious favoritism to employees who brown nose. No performance reviews. No training or professional development whatsoever for non-clinical staff (literally none in 11 years). No direction from upper management and there's a serious lack of communication. Project Management is a complete joke and basically doesn't exist. No team building at all, no collaboration, every person has to look out for themselves only. Upper management has created a back-stabbing environment - you can't trust anyone.

Pros

-- Fair pay for OT salary -- GREAT access to educational resources -- Good support for students and fieldwork educators -- Many opportunities to transition within company

Cons

-- Company doesn't value employee happiness -- CONSTANT technology issues impede productivity and decrease morale -- NO OFFICIAL HOLIDAYS OFF...Very unfair policy -- High pressure to be productive, even in the midst of low scheduling/technology issues
