Hardly epic.

Pros

- Flexible work location - Some nice, dedicated people

Cons

- Extreme Dysfunction: Despite their latest attempt at being “One” by making t-shirts and mugs, Genesys still has extreme silos throughout their organization – requiring week-long tiger team meetings (along with an expensive consultant) on a regular basis to ensure that some level of collaboration occurs cross-functionally. - Poor internal communication: Genesys let most of the company in the dark for several months on the overall ININ integration strategy - and then came back with high-level power point presentation fluff. Not helpful. - Lack of Overall vision: Overall vision was poorly articulated and difficult to understand – especially from the CMO/CTO level. Perhaps by design? - No real innovation in Contact Center Industry: They run the same boring plays over and over. They rely on the same people to attend the same events and would rather ignore (or get rid of) the talent that festers on the bench.

You've raised several concerns; let me focus on the key one which is communication. A major integration of two companies can be an uncertain time for people and I acknowledge this can be difficult. We have done our best to over communicate our company strategy, direction and vision via many company and department all hands meetings, communications to leaders, internal cross functional conversations, emails, newsletters, intranet pages, as well as our company sales kickoff and engineering days events. My advice to anyone internally who feels like there are areas we've missed or need to do more of in terms of communication would be to escalate those concerns so we can address them. We appreciate your feedback. Best, Tracy Tracy Cote, Chief People Officer

Pros

Smart people, good policies that are fair to employees.

Cons

The culture of the company is 24/7/365 availability. Internal meeting requiring travel was scheduled 8 AM the day after a Federal holiday, meaning remote employees were forced to perform business travel during a federal holiday... which is acceptable for a service-affecting emergency, but I will repeat, this was for an *internal meeting*. It was very early on in my short tenure and I immediately started looking for other work.

Pros

Not much to say here

Cons

Genesys HR requested that employees post fake reviews to "pump up" the company reputation, which seems to destroy the whole purpose of Glassdoor.

Genesys does not influence employee reviews. We do ask our employees to post reviews – honest, genuine evaluations of how they feel about working at Genesys. All employee reviews represent employee’s own opinions. We want real feedback – good or constructive – and as you can see from the feedback, a variety of different points are raised. If you feel that in some way our method of encouraging employees to post reviews on Glassdoor as a measure of evaluating engagement while offering transparency is biased, please contact me or your manager and let us know where your concern is coming from. ...Tracy Cote, SVP HR
