Pros

The company has s great software product

Cons

Life balance non existence in here. No vacation accrual. So pray for a good and understandable manager (unlikely). The worst medium level management that I've seen in any company that I've worked for. Worst of all, high level managers don't care. Don't expect a good flow of communication. Daly City (nothing in here but fog)

Pros

Good people. Fair comp and bonus

Cons

Confusing product offering. The prem offerings they are putting in Azure are in no way scalable. Punitive licensing. Their cloud offering is nonsense. You are not only paying for the privilege of using their cloud offering but your customers also pay for usage on the platform they use. AWS azure, etc. then there are three levels of the cloud offering. Depending on what channels you want. Leave it to Genesys to take a cloud offering and make it difficult to comprehend what you are buying. Genesys has very few of their original products left. It is a Franken-solution. Don’t believe me? Some of their stuff doesn’t integrate with their other offerings. They all have a different look and feel. If you want to work here prepare for changing focus every month.

Pros

Burlington Engineering was part of the old SoundBite company that was bought by Genesys 5 years ago. we held onto a lot of the same culture and day to day as it was before. Genesys buys new companies and whatever the buzzword of that company sells (for SoundBite it was outbound calling).. that's the next big thing and they follow it with their budget... right now its AI.. Most of the interaction with other groups within Genesys are hard to talk to and political. it's very hard to ingratiate yourself into the Russian upper levels in Engineering.. The Burlington crew were like family. but honestly.. I'd much rather be gone then left behind. Genesys has laid off over half the staff in the Burlington office in the past year. it's become desolate and not a happy place to go anymore. I hear the Chennai office expanding to another floor
