      Pros

      HR Dept is more updated, employee info is accessed electronically instead of manually like at SoundBite. Up-to-date as far as having an HR portal for both the HR department's convenience as well as for the convenience of employee's to change or look up their benefits etc. This alleviates the work load from the HR dept.

      Cons

      Low pay for me anyway. They are very revenue driven, employees seemed more of a number.

      We do have a fantastic intranet and HR helpdesk, all of which were created to make things easier for our employees. When we acquired SoundBite, we did some consolidation and your role was not needed. I am sorry that you are still disappointed about this years later.       Pros

      Company is working on setting up and documenting procedures employees will be evaluated on. Salaries and Bonuses are good.

      Cons

      Management is not in agreement on the procedures so evaluations are different based on manager. Reorg weekly so employees manager changes frequently and they have no background on employees abilities. Many lay offs have occurred reducing number of knowledgeable, experienced programmers to work on projects. They are repeatedly taken off of projects to help out another customer in trouble leaving no one to work on previous project.

      Thank you for posting. Glad to hear you think our salaries and bonuses are competitive; we have been fortunate enough to be able to pay bonuses for the past several years. Regarding some of your other comments, I’m not sure what you’re referring to in terms of “weekly reorgs and frequent layoffs,” as that is not the case. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, belittling others is not something we like to hear about and I recommend you escalate this to your VP or HR partner so they can help you work through these and other concerns. ...Tracy

      Genesys is changing

      Pros

      Genesys is full of bright, hard working people who are passionate about the products they develop and sell. Genesys pays well. Their software products are some of the best in the business.

      Cons

      The climate has become increasingly political over the last couple of years - especially in the NA sales organization. It is obvious that the company is being positioned for the short term (to sell it or go IPO) with little regard for the long term success. Customer and partner relationships are suffering heavily. Senior talent is being pushed out in many of the organizations.
