Genesys is growing big and fast, as the undisputed Leader as the Customer Experience Platform Vendor. Every aspect of day job is related to delight our Customer and Partner ecosystem: from Engineering to Sales. Compensation and overall employees welfare is top of the market.

Cons

You work hard and with the best talent in the Market: need to over-perform to emerge.

Pros

As a new person with a couple of years gap in working a Contact Centre value proposition, I was quickly taken under the protective wing of everyone to get up to speed. Every day I met someone new who was genuinely happy to meet me and help in any way they could. In no time at all, I felt like part of the family and not just the new person

Cons

As a fast growing company, you do need to take the onus on yourself to go in search of answers and not just rely on people around you. You have to keep up with the pace which can be quite a steep learning curve. However with people willing to help you a long the way, this is hardly a con and more of a fact of life

Pros

Genesys absolutely is the best when it comes to working on a global level. I have a great opportunity to work with really wonderful people from many different cultures, literally all over the world. Genesys has a clear mission and vision, and everyone honestly respects and upholds the company values. I don't know anyone at Genesys who isn't passionate about his/her job. Although there is an official people hierarchy, everyone at Genesys (regardless of their role and wherever they are located) is very approachable and trying to assist if you ask for help. Many of my colleagues I would call friends, it's almost like having an extra family! The annual team training event is a week that I'm looking forward to very much, every year. Genesys gives me freedom in controlling my own career path and pursue the (technical) directions where I want to go within the boundaries of the Genesys software and solutions.

Cons

The balance between work and life at Genesys can (at times) be a challenge when working in Professional Services. It's definitely not a dull 9-to-5 company: this is also because Genesys works on a global level, and sometimes I need to be in online meetings that span multiple time zones. Then it is simply difficult sometimes to find an appropriate meeting time for everyone. You're expected to proactively take your own responsibilities in your work. The nearest Genesys office is too far for a daily commute, so I have a home office or work on customer site. Not seeing many colleagues sometimes gives me the feeling of being physically "disconnected" from the rest of the company.
