      5 years of being what is called top talent and yet politics ensure zero growth

      Pros

      worklife balance and if you want a career in BPO it makes sense as pioneered the industry and there some brand value attached to having worked in Genpact. Used to be more when GE was a stakeholder and has degenerated since and people outside are beginning to realise that

      Cons

      extreme politics and unethical practices at leadership levels. lots of favors returned for favors and if you arent an old timer here you will find it very hard to integrate or understand the politics till it is too late . values are more spoken than lived

      Good organization for beginners; at senior levels need to be part of some camp to grow

      Pros

      - organization is very customer centric - highly focused on processes & improvements - good emphasis on learning & development - provides opportunity to work across different functions & roles - has women friendly policies - longevity of service

      Cons

      - senior management has been virtually unchanged for more than a decade, which means that the organization continues to do more of the same & lacks any new thought leadership. - over the years GE's heritage of meritocracy has eroded & given way to favoritism - organization is quite inward looking - work gets very repetitive & boring after a few years in the organization - huge disparity in compensation at middle & senior levels; compensation depends on your ability to negotiate at the time of entry & your ability to negotiate with HR post entry. there's little evidence of any salary banding at different levels of responsibility
