Pros

Family feel with coworkers, patients first, cooperation from corporate, great educators and regional support staff, great wages. Management listens. The patients come first and the employees come first to management.

Cons

Work/life balance, tho not bad (same with ALL hospices). Any other cons, you’ve brought them on yourself. Attitude is everything

Pros

CNA'S, Nurses, Social Worker & Pastor were great in Florence, Alabama office.

Cons

Everyone other than those mentioned in 'pro' category were ridiculous. Highly unprofessional. Got both injections in manager's office during business hours. Gossip, back biting, petty & unprofessional. Trying was substandard. They lied to me about what my budget was & gave half of it to marketing. It seemed that they really didn't want me to find new volunteers, that they were only going along with it because Medicare requires it. They made fun of clients, nursing home employees, gay people , clients& client families. Truly horrible place to work.

Pros

The opportunity to make a positive impact on patients and family during end-of-life is rewarding. Unfortunately, this is overshadowed by the company's toxic culture.

Cons

The regional leadership is far less concerned with quality patient care than they are with constantly creating conflict and drama. There is no continuity in branch operations. Western Region of NC is not concerned about hiring and retaining quality individuals. Their main priority is maintaining the status quo. Anyone who fails to conform, regardless of how effective and productive he/she is, will soon be released from their duties. This is a very dishonest group of individuals, who does not value strong and creative leadership, integrity, and diversity.
