Pros

I have been an employee at Geode for nearly 4 years, during which we have experienced substantial growth. Geode has stayed true to its mission all along the way, which makes me proud of the company and is a big reason why I continue to work here. My coworkers across all different departments have been a joy to work with!

Cons

Being at a relatively young and fast-growing company requires adaptability and strong prioritization.

Pros

Geode is a great place work. Most importantly - they care about their patients as the guiding principle.

Cons

Too many snacks in the office!

Pros

I enjoy that I may collaborate with psychiatry for my patient’s care when feasible. The compensation is reasonable and you can earn as much as you want to work. The hybrid option is nice for providing relief for commuting and breaks up the work week. There is help available in the form of an online community and therapist resources. I really appreciate only working Monday through Friday 9-5, not being on call, and not required to work weekends. I like that I can mostly focus on my clinical work without the worry of dealing with billing and other administrative tasks. With that being said, the practice assistants are extremely helpful.

Cons

There is a big emphasis on numbers and metrics. Admin keep a very close eye on managing therapist caseloads. I found this to be stressful and takes joy, time, and attention away from my clinical work and treatment planning. It can feel very micro-managing and you have to advocate for work-life balance. 1 hour of „admin time” may not be sufficient on days when there are 7 patients per day - to eat lunch, maybe complete only some of your notes if you decide to get up and stretch your body. Furthermore, rescheduling patients is a hassle when you have very little availability such when you need a day off or when a patient needs to change their appointment.

Thank you for the thoughtful review. Glad you are enjoying the schedule and team. Recommend you speaking with your AOM as there are options to reduce your caseload. Your AOM can share what the Therapy compensation would be at 27 or 24 patient visit hours. We have Therapist working those schedules today.
