Pros

Paychecks were on time, plenty of overtime was available.

Cons

Management turnover was high, benefits reduced each year, management was deceptive and untruthful,.. They laid us off and said we would be back to work in a few months then called us in for a meeting and told us the sawmill wouldn't reopen and ripped us off on our severance packages.

Hello-Molly here. We’re sorry that we had to close Coos Bay. It truly was a difficult decision to close the facility permanently due to availability of raw materials, unreliable rail service and market conditions. We will pass your feedback along to our management team. Thanks and good luck.

Pros

Amazing Health, Dental, Vision Benefits. Matching 401k, Matching HSA. Great Pay!

Cons

Management is very disorganized. Structure of company is extremely complex and leaves huge gaps in final decision rights. Structure and templates are great but when it takes over 9 months to get needed equipment because of all the paperwork and management approvals, you've gone to far. 30 days to get a quote for equipment. Request work and it takes 2 days for a task that you could complete in 15 minutes tops.

Pros

Performance based culture, clear values and principles, high tolerance for taking calculated risk.

Cons

Middle management ignores Guiding Principles, Company is more worried about avoiding lawsuits than attracting and retaining top talent. Poor performers aren’t held accountable and high performers are rewarded inconsistently.
