Pros

There is plenty of room for advancement if you are proactive. There is a heavy emphasis on learning and development, which is great early in a career. I have grown a tremendous amount in the short amount of time I have worked here.

Cons

Salaries are a bit lower than what you find in private sector companies. Working for DOD contracts on almost every project can make you feel a bit like a war profiteer.

* This is seventh ranked public school nationwide. * Great research community including faculty and students * Great people are invited to give talks * Great HR benefits * There are great opportunities for collaboration with a research community and with an industry.

Cons

* They do not have well developed career path * The location is close to a very crimal area * There is a lot of politics involved between research groups

GTRI is full of great people doing interesting work.

Pros

The projects are interesting and the management is competent and fair. Everyone who works at GTRI is extremely smart and driven.

Cons

The downside of working at GTRI is that everyone is an academic. It is sometimes difficult to be creative in certain labs.
