Pros

Decent benefits, decent pay for the area, lots of perks. Vast majority of people working here are very polite, and when you get to really know them you can easily create long lasting friendships.

Cons

Sadly the "sour apples" tend to ruin the bunch (and tend to run the place). Advancement is possible, but it will take some time, if you come in as an agent expect a wait time of multiple years (of which you best be consistently happy and meeting your sales objectives, no question). When you do advance you'll be shocked at how laughable your salary is and how politically charged the leadership levels really are, virtually everyone has a hidden motive or agenda behind what the say or do. Very difficult to make real lasting changes to existing process or improvements, "outsiders" who are hired in with their "fresh ideas" are typically mocked and forced to convert to the "Gerber way" whether it's the right way to do business or not. department disconnect is still occurring but there are some incremental improvements, sadly the culture still fosters yes-man behavior (per the 1/19/14 review)

Pros

Thought that bonuses would be obtained

Cons

In customer service you are expected to cross sell, I was aware of this going in. But what you arent told is that the goals are constantly changing. So if you are meeting your goals one day and have a bad day all of a sudden everything is gone. People who waste time and take less calls have lower goals . So hard work is not rewarded. For example of you are fast and efficient on the phones you are expected to sell WAY more than the person who may be a chatty cathy and wasting time. Your bonus is LARGELY based on what the customer says and there is no distinction between if the customer is upset with you or the company in general. If you point this out to your supervisor they dont care because they are screwing employees out of 1000s of dollars per month. The systems are horrible and the processes are ancient.
