Pros

If you don't care, this is the place to be! Welcome home!

Cons

You must be Brazilian nationality, from brazil on some fake visa status, to get promotion in the U.S. They even dump the existing American leadership and replace with the Brazilian kids without experience, language skills, cultural background, knowing the business. It is backed by position confusing terminology such as facilitators that probably noone understands in the authorities. If it is not discrimination and hatred towards americans, then what is it? Cheaper enslaved labor? And noones seems to speak up. Shame

Pros

Good benefits, short term disability, you get to see some incredible sights

Cons

Unclear reporting structure, cash flow problems. as of this writing they have sold 5 of their 15 mills. Lay offs were constant the entire 5 years I was there. Alot of turnover, I had 5 bosses over 5 years. The procurement is actually done by the plants and the buyer just processes whatever they are told to. If you see a buyer that works there rest assured they have done nothing more than place spot PO's. Brazilian CEO caught up in operation zealot in Brazil.

What A Joke

Pros

There are not any from my point of view

Cons

The company is a joke, some people work hard because of their ethics and then you have those that do absolutely nothing and what is said by the managers, nothing. The managers want you to shut up and work harder for those that do nothing and they reward the lazy ones by not writing them up or making them do anything, they work around them and for the hard workers they look at you to pull all the weight and when you get to a point you decided not too they want to write you up.. They have people running things that no nothing and I mean nothing, they go by their feelings on making decision. These people fuss about them putting people in charge because they have education, well I rather have an educated person who can learn something then a uneducated person who thinks they know everything. They run the business like they run their lives and this is with very little thought process. That is why the company has been going down the drain for years and no one bother to stop it because all the managers cover each other and put in position those whom they knew would go along with their antics, now that the company is taking a nose dive, they have the audacity to wonder why. They judge everyone the same way when it comes to evaluation. The person next to you can sit in breakroom most of the shift, sleep on the job but they will get the same evaluation as you because they clocked in. There is no incentive to do better then the next man and promotions, another joke, it is about who you know, not what you know and that is sad because some very good workers get overlooked because of this.
