- New leadership are incompetent, uncharismatic and directionless - Non-AMER regions have suddenly become second class citizens - Company has been moving away from its old values for a while - Too much politics - Too much reorging

Decent compensation.. that’s about the only thing worth mentioning..

Poor untrustworthy APAC leadership disconnected from the realities of the market and the dev community at large. What was once a respectable product, the current gitlab leadership especially the local sales and SA leadership sitting out of singapore and australia have ruined this place..none of them really understand the product or a developers mind … The culture has been destroyed by a management that fundamentally comes from a pure sales background with little regards/ appreciation for the technology itself.. for any highly technical individual this place will be a toxic one.. extremely volatile and a non transparent org in general.. decisions happen behind closed doors.. lots of inter manager politics.. I was literally told to “ Play the game” which I smiled and politely refused.. life is too short to play games.. if possible skip this place entirely, you will ruin your mental peace for a few extra bucks.. not worth it.. decentish product , terrible incompetent management..
