Not a great place to work

Pros

My immediate team is good

Cons

High turnover and management doesn’t care to backfill positions so the work load is heavy. OT is pretty much expected. Pay is low. There is little to no communication about process changes and feedback from employees is never listened to. Honestly there is nothing great about working here.

Destroying TSYS

Pros

Work life balance and benefits are not bad.

Cons

Global Payments corporate profits continue to hit or exceed targets. However, it seems like every quarter (or more) the company is laying off tons of employees and mainly at TSYS. How come when people go broke they "should have budgeted better," but when companies lay off people "that's just hard financial times?" Companies should have a fiduciary responsibility to their employees, not just their shareholders. After all, the employees are the biggest reason they make those profits. Global Payments says they put people over profits. I wish that were true.

Pros

The middle management and org leads are super connected with their people and care a lot, but often end up having to relay bad decisions/enforce company policy from the top-down that adversely impacts employees.

Cons

The Senior Leadership Team doesn't seem connected at all with how their decisions impact those on the ground. Global Payments acquires other companies, enforces a bunch of changes that don't make sense for that child company, then guts them and takes away what makes them special.
