Pros

Good software program. Lots of income opportunity if you're motivated and have constant communication going. Decent customer service (as long as you make sure yo're in constant contact. Great if you're knowledgeable of and have prior experience in LTL as I did.

Cons

No 401k. Really, my qualms were less with the service being performed but more with the corporate culture; this should never ever be a problem in a company especially when it stems from upper management. Middle age men acting like "frat boys". Embarrassing sexual harassment by the same group. Lack of professionalism on their end led to several apologies to clients. Bringing this up to management led nowhere, except for sexual harassment training classes in which none of management attended - What a Joke! Promoting secretaries/girlfriends etc regardless of skill, cheating... Nepotism, obviously. If you don't fit in here, or you don't feel like faking it to do so, you'll know it fast.

Pros

The only decent thing about Globaltranz is the pay... Management is nothing but middle aged wanna be frat guys, who just play techno crap all day, so loud that you can't hear the person you're talking to on the phone.

Cons

All they care about is money, you screw up once your out....they make you feel worthless pretty much if your not pulling in the numbers like the other guys. I was forced into the sales part and was given less then 2 weeks of training while everyone else received a full month. If your not the typical scottsdale/tempe douche, who loves techno to the fullest, you won't fit in here and you'll find that out real quick. 75+ calls a day, no excuses, and when you tell people your from Globaltranz, they usually have some kind words for you before yelling at you and hanging up. This company has dug itself a big hole with a lot of people.... my advice if you want to be a freight broker...go to CH Robinson or Knight...they treat their employees better and you get paid more.

Pros

they have a nice office building in phoenix. They throw a semi decent convention every year, but i don't know if those will continue.

Cons

as and agent owner for about 5 years I have witnessed this companies evolution. Unfortunately it has gone down hill fast. Extreme turnover at all levels especially the executive level. The corporate office does little to support its field agents as they have launched an inside sales force. this inside sales department constantly solicits my clients. So now i am competing with my own company. These new inside sales reps have little to now experience and make us in the field look very bad. Their new Truckload department is a joke and I have ceased selling truckload services to my clients. When i do call in to the truckload department it sounds like a frat party is going on. loud music and noise in the back ground. It is extremely un professional and i've had to apologize to my clients several times because they state they can cover the load only to leave my clients high and dry with no trucks on the day they said they would have them. They have had at least 4 different presidents in the past two years. Not a good thing. They constantly work on new technology and launch it when it does fully work. Since their former Support manager left, myself and my clients are experiencing horrible hold times and extremely poor customer service. Their Supply chain is a joke and i don't bother selling that to my clients either.
