Pros

Working at GlobalTranz was a great experience; they have a company culture that is hard to find anywhere else. The Traffic Analyst position was a great opportunity to learn not only about the freight industry, but also about pricing and business practices in general. I learned more in the 8 months I worked at GlobalTranz than what I learned during my 4 years in college. The work was challenging, and it gave me an opportunity to employ my analytical skill-set as opposed to working a mundane, mindless job. As a Traffic Analyst, I worked in the Pricing Department which is one of the (relatively) smaller departments in the company. The intimate team size allowed me to see my individual impact on the company as a whole and to form strong camaraderie with the other members of the department. However, with the smaller team size comes great responsibility. Glass Door reviews are sometimes less informative than one would like, because the experience one has is very dependent on the people/management one worked with. I could not have asked for a better department. My co-workers were great to work with, and management gave me the autonomy to discover new (and better) ways to do things without micromanaging. -Work Life Balance -Good Pay, Bonus Incentive -Relaxed Company Culture -Benefits: Heath Insurance, 401K, Dental, Vision -Standard Hours -Autonomy and Good Management

Cons

There are certainly opportunities for growth; however, the path to achieve this growth could be more explicitly outlined. My tenure at GlobalTranz was relatively short, and they discussed with me opportunities for growth; however, a more detailed explanation for how to achieve this growth would have been helpful.
