Pros
This is the hardest job I've ever had, and I couldn't be happier about it. We are a small company with a huge opportunity, and I care more about the fate of what goes on here than any other company I've been apart of. There is so much that needs to be done, and because we have such a small team, nearly every day I get to work on projects and problems I've never faced before. I've been working in Seattle startups since the early 2000s, and I've never experience a rocket ship like this one. The team here is phenomenal, and the culture of collaboration and diversity is such a privilege to be apart of.
Cons
You need to set clear boundaries for your personal life, because it's far too easy for the mission of this company to fill every moment of your day. Parking can be a pain. The open-office environment and limited quiet areas can make sustained, focused work challenging, but the office space is being renovated to alleviate these issues.
