Great place to work

Pros

GoEngineer is an exceptional place to work, known for its dynamic work environment and opportunities for career growth. Recently, there has been an onslaught of negative reviews on Glassdoor, it is important to note that these reviews were created by a few disgruntled employees who have personal grievances with the company. It is essential not to base your opinion solely on negative reviews, but consider the company's overall reputation, vision, and mission, as well as its commitment to employee satisfaction. We have a strong company culture that values collaboration, innovation, and employee empowerment. GoEngineer offers competitive compensation packages, comprehensive benefits, and a healthy work-life balance. The company understands the importance of family, and as such, offers flexible scheduling, telecommuting options, and a generous PTO program. This company is committed to employee satisfaction, offers an exceptional work environment, and provides ample opportunities for professional growth. If you are seeking a company where you can thrive and make a significant impact, GoEngineer should be at the top of your list!

Cons

You can barely find providers for University of Utah medical; could have a better network.

Pros

Work/Life balance is phenomenal. I haven't ever met a long-time GoEngineer leader who has given anybody a hard time about taking time off to be there for family outside of work. It really is an environment where you are given clear objectives as an employee along with the autonomy and freedom to accomplish those objectives. Leaders and managers have always been open to hard conversations and and listening and understanding. It's a great place to work with great people!

Cons

GoEngineer's growth has been very aggressive over the last several years. They recently made their largest acquisition ever and doubled in size. There are huge differences between the cultures of the two companies, which naturally leads to some growing pains. I know there are a lot of negative reviews on here recently, but trust me when I say those views are not shared by the majority of the company. If you walked into any GoEngineer location today and just talked to the employees, you'd find that the majority of them love working at GoEngineer.

Pros

Incredible to see the spackling of negative reviews coming around the same timeframe, all with similar messaging. Seems like a singular or few disgruntled employees from the recent acquisition who are not getting along well and trying to make a coordinated effort to drop GoEngineer's Glassdoor score. Unfortunately it's working as our score went from a 4.8 to 4 in a week! My experience with GoEngineer has been great. Has it been all sunshine and rainbows, absolutely not. Do we work hard and get things done, I would say yes! GoEngineer has a history of taking people at the start of their career paths and turning them into rockstars. I am one of those people that have started at an introductory position and have worked my way up over time. I've seen negative reviews about micromanagement, not caring about people, PTO, etc. The only people that are being micromanaged, are those with low performance typically. Otherwise, it's complete autonomy. People who feel they aren't "cared for" are likely the people that can't get over the "we did it this way" mentality even though GoEngineer has gone out of it's way to try and overaccommodate these folks after their company was acquired. PTO policy is unlimited for salaried folks, but widely expanded for non-salary where legacy GoEngineer people only use to get 4 weeks a year, people now receive double that. I've built a nice career here, and many others can too! BEWARE the false commentary from disgruntled employees from this acquisition. Their narrative couldn't be farther from the truth.

Cons

Growing pains from a large acquisition. GoEngineer is trying to find itself as a larger company and I believe it will. It just takes time for such a large acquisition to level off. Communication surrounding new policies has been hit or miss, but our HR has taken it's licks and there are steps being taken to right that ship as well. Acquisitions get messy, they do better in time!
