Pros

Its a very fun work environment. You meet a lot of people. You get a 2 hour lunch as a sales person.

Cons

No career advancement unless you are best friends with someone in upper management. Expected to sell on the clock, which is only about a quarter of what you have to do during the work day. Everything else (which is several, time consuming things) youre expected to "find a way" to get it done. Meaning off the clock. Youre expected to help do everyone else's job because "We're a team and its for the club" be it housekeeping or janitrial or front desk.... Payout is ridiculous, both base and commission Corporate office has been known to make the sales team push a promotion and then once its over change the payout base to next to nothing. Good for the company bad for the person trying to make a living.

Pros

Almost the entire headquarters was made up of people who were very passionate about the fitness industry and its ability to change lives. For the most part, senior management was very supportive and competent. Most of the individual contributors were competent as well. There is a lot of communication between departments and not much in the way of "turf wars."

Cons

There has been a lot of turnover in the CEO role and COO roles. One CEO (now departed) was really not a good fit. Not all gym managers were well trained in handling customer issues.

Pros

The best part of working at Golds Gym was having a free membership to work out whenever I wanted. The girls were a nice perk of the job too.

Cons

The managers were very disrespectful to the customers and they did not treat anyone well at all, i would highly recommend not working at golds gym.
