Pros

Good Pay Brilliant peer group Open Door Policy Get to work on every aspect of SDLC Helps with people interaction

Cons

The major con of working in Goldman is that there is a lot of legacy system that uses inhouse technology which is not supported anymore and has no documentation. Working with vendors on their old technology is also a hassle

Pros

Most of my co-workers are great, bright people. Overall the structure of the company is flat, which means you can reach out and speak to people from any level (up to a partner). The working hours are flexible and they respect personal arrangements.

Cons

The company could benefit from employing a 20% (fun-time) rule, similar to Google. I think many employees have good ideas for side projects which often get overshadowed by day-to-day priorities.

Pros

The SLC office is known for its innovation and out of the box thinking. I can't speak for other locations, but your good ideas here will be heard and if you're good at getting consensus, you can do whatever you want to do.

Cons

The company itself isn't doing incredibly hot, and that can affect morale and bonus amount. Also, different teams have different levels of focus on training and development.
