Pros

My particular location has great coworkers, flexibility and the opportunity to build experience while contributing positively to the community.

Cons

Non-management employees are not valued and there is no room for career growth. It is often disheartening to hear the false marketing of a non-profit mission when the ultimate goal is to create a retail empire. At a mission oriented company I would expect less stratification between the business and upper management of the company and those who fulfill the mission of helping the community go back to work.

Pros

Some of the fellow employees are very nice and good people.

Cons

I don't even know where to start.. The revolving door of employees - hired and fired in the crazy cycle. In one week you could see 3 people go and 3 new ones (at least) just to see at least one of them quit within the first 3 days. This place needs a serious shake up from the top down. Canada Revenue Agency, Human Rights Tribunal and media should take a closer look at what goes on in this "company". Mistreatment, lies, abuse of employees are standard practices - not an exception. Their pay is akin to those in the 3rd world sweatshops, not a civilized 1st world country. The organization is going downhill market wise and employment wise for the last few years and there are no improvements being made to do anything about it. My advice to anyone looking at this place - stay away from them unless you don't mind being treated like trash and kick in the butt with minimum pay, not paid overtimes, no benefits at all and no prospects for the future. Union is joke in this place - totally sucking up to the execs. They will not protect you.

Pros

NONE!!! This place just really makes my skin crawl and that has nothing to do with the insects in the break room!

Cons

This "christian company" will try to screw you over no matter how hard you work. I am a dedicated employee who goes above and beyond what's needed and what do I get in return? WRITTEN UP! I'm a cashier who was over in my register by a few bucks and I got written up?! Where is the fairness in that? No warning at all!! I get customer compliments every day and get no reward for it..BUT as soon as my register is over they try to make me look like some criminal! Also no benefits for part timers lol what a joke!
