Pros

The best thing about working at Goodwill was getting to know some of the customers. The majority were a delight, and stopped by often to chat for a moment while shopping.

Cons

Extremely low pay, almost no demonstration of appreciation for hard work--just a MORE MORE MORE! attitude, poor working conditions bordering on dangerous in many cases, the expectation of employees to meet unattainable goals with staff shortages and lack of resources needed to do the job, lack of or conflicting direction from upper-management, hiring more from outside than promoting within, etc.

Pros

Great working for a non-profit and helping people, there are a lot of people down on their luck and it feels good to give something back. Good work life balance.

Cons

Upper management are nasty people, they don't treat people fairly. They are not consistent in anything from pay, training, disciplining or anything else for that matter
