Benefits, good camaraderie among staff. Great work-life balance.

Cons

Staff treated as costs and generally undervalued by management. Little corporate culture. Low compensation with minimal raises (if any) across the board for staff.

Pros

Up-to-date software, nice offices, interesting clients.

Cons

Zero room for advancement, declining benefits (health care deductible just went up) pretentious executives who never follow through with their commitments, wasteful partners who blow millions on interoffice travel, extremely meager raises and bonuses. Management plays favorites, so those who lack skill get by on their ability to brown nose.

Pros

Goodwin Procter has very good medical benefits - in fact, I don't believe I've ever had a better medical plan. The support departments are good - finance and records are outstanding. Onsite office services are adequate.

Cons

I noticed quite a bit of in-fighting among staff. The management tends to look the other way until there is a blow up. The management does have favorite attorneys and staff members. Perception is that if you are not a favorite, you have no protection.
