A tale of two companies

Pros

The pay and benefits are above average. There are many opportunities and careers in which to seek, and the company is large.

Cons

The above opportunities are there if one is willing to deftly navigate very political waters. The company says that it is trying to be a fresher, more modern company but still has an ego and an old-school mentality. There is a large schism between what the company says in terms of valuing the employee and work-life balance and what the realities are in terms of how individuals are treated and rewarded. The two are not the same and there is a contradiction almost to a point of hypocrisy as to what is "said" and what is "done"

The pay is good, the benefits are acceptable, the onsite amenities for HQ are very good. Some managers are great to work for.

Cons

Bureaucratic mess for management chain. Too many managers, too much hierarchy, too many people need to be involved in decisions.
