Pros

I have a mixed experience with this company. It seems like your experience here will depend heavily on the contract you are on and who management is. The job is easy enough, and you’re left alone for the most part if you’re doing your job. There are many other higher positions available in the same building with other companies so it does make it significantly easier to move to those positions, especially since they seem to prefer hiring people who are already in the building with clearance.

Cons

management does seem to play favorites, at least on the contract I was on. Sometimes promotion is merit based, as it should be, other times it seems favorites get promoted. Disciplinary action is basically nonexistent, so when someone else isn’t doing their job don’t expect them to be reprimanded unless multiple people make it a big deal. Pay was somewhat low for the area we were in, yearly raises were given but they were very minimal, and getting a raise any other time was impossible unless you moved up in the company. It tended to be a revolving door, people came in, got a little experience then got fed up with management and went elsewhere

Pros

Pay is decent but no formal or informal reviews and no raises. Long contract term. Remote work is good and the company has nothing to do with this as it’s at the govt’s discretion and direction of coming to the office a couple times a week.

Cons

Tons of issues here. People issues, lack of PM experience at the highest levels on the contract and lack of education or credentials for PM and they get promoted to lead a large team/contract. Contract is on 3rd PM in a year. Previous 2 were poor excuses that had no skills to be in that position in the first place and the govt forced them out. Eventually the company will lose the contract. They will hire just about anyone and promote their own clan. It’s sad to say but discrimination is so evident here but God forbid anyone say anything about it because you will be targeted and forced out with made up excuses. Only reason I am here was got picked up by the company when last company lost contract and I like the client. I am considering going govie at less pay but won’t have to deal with this BS. But I am on the job market looking for something better. I went above and beyond on an effort with no thank you, no overtime pay, no bonus, no acknowledgment whatsoever. It’s just a paycheck for me now. No incentive to grow or advance with the company and no more above and beyond. So if u want to stay under the radar and coast without doing a lot of work, you can retire here. You will be another bean counter. and someone they can make off of. Only if there were hidden cameras when the clans are talking about those that aren’t part of their clicque. Should do a TikTok on this contract about what really goes on. Senior mgmt has no clue.
