If you consistently get a 'consistently meets expectations' then they basically consider you almost ready for a promotion. It's virtually impossible with the workload and aggressive timelines to go above and beyond in any way. There has definitely been an ongoing mass exodus of folks from Grainger in merchandising and supply management, particularly product information teams in the past year, but leadership does not seem to care about retaining talented staff. We were treated as assembly line workers not people with graduate degrees and decades of experience who don't need to be micromanaged.
