Pros

If you’re in sales and like being in front of a computer instead of your customers. This job is for you!

Cons

Processes and procedures are ridiculous. I spend most of time trying to resolve issues for customers and then circling into the abyss of nonsense.

Pros

Working from home once a week is a great option! Pay and Benefits are above average. Business Resource Groups (Latino, African American, Women and PRIDE) are available.

Cons

Facts: Little accountability or training for some managers of people. The leadership’s direction is not clear and fails to inspire. Heavy and sometimes unrealistic workload. Rampant downsizing and department consolidation. Constant continuous improvement that sometimes interferes with completing projects. Opinion: I’ve done lots of “throw-away” work. Even though I was paid for it, I felt devalued, unchallenged and burnt out. Also, the culture appears inclusive on the outside and encourages people be themselves, most people don’t bring their authentic selves to work.

Pros

Great benefits including health insurance, Commission and profit sharing.

Cons

Grainger, in the past felt their best asset was their people. Over the past 5 years they have reduced head count, raised medical benefit premiums, reduced the Vehicle compensation and expenses accounts. To a potential new employee, consider the offer that is in front of you and adjust for a 5-10% reduction in overall benefits/compensation each year.
