Pros

Compensation is good. Some flexibility in schedule. Company has more remote opportunities than other companies in the same category. Most of the co-workers I have met are very helpful. The company provides lengthy job training but could be improved.

Cons

Many departments (including HR) are outsourced and are poorly managed/controlled by upper management. Getting assistance from HR is a complete waste of time. Upper management is completely unrealistic on what it means to provide customer support. The company website is poorly managed by an outsourced company full of inaccuracies and constantly needs correcting, Current model of customer support encourages employees to give bad information to customers and to "pass off" customers to other employees instead of doing the job that is expected of them without any correction from management. Technical Product Support feels more like a "marketing tool" for investors rather than true support for the customer.

Pros

Grainger has a phenomenal training program. After training you will feel you have the tools to succeed.

Cons

No downsides beside the commute to the office if you don’t live close.
