Pros

In my role, I can free wheel it Easy to bounce around if you want

Cons

Grainger is focusing more on stockholders and less on employees. There is a downward trend in employee treatment since 2015. Technology is the worst I've ever worked with. Producers at the company are treated terribly but Leaders have 0 accountability and make terrible, inconsistent decisions They don't care about employee retention if you're a current employee and apply internally, be prepared to be offered $20,000 less than base pay Senior leadership is all about themselves and it becomes obvious fairly quickly. The trend is of a company that will be eliminating and outsourcing jobs (a tactic they've used historically)

Pros

Good Benefits, Top Talent, and wide variety of solutions to partner with Customers

Cons

Focus has shifted from Customers to Salesforce metrics. Promotion opportunities are limited. Goals become difficult to obtain after a few years of success. Lots of competition. No options to create new account business.

Pros

Benefits and profit sharing. If you get a good team then that is a plus. If you get a good book of business you have the potential to make good money.

Cons

If you don't hit metrics you will be fired. You're stuck with whatever book if business they give you, even if it sucks. They don't help you much after training. They raise the goals to where it is impossible to hit. The management is awful. There is absolutely no chance you will move up to a different position in less than 5 years.
