Pros

Been with the company for 16 years. Worked through various positions while moving up the ranks. Overall, here are my pros: - Competitive Salary and Benefits - 401K is still one of the best compared to what's out there. - Work Life Balance - Good leaders who support growth and being a good team player - Opportunities to grow into new roles or improve on existing one. - CEO is amazing and honored to be working under his lead.

Cons

Like all good corporations, there will be some leaders that don't live up to the culture of this company and that is unfortunate as I've seen great employees that have left because of that. Luckily, those situations are very few and far between.

Pros

There are some great people and leaders at Grainger. It is a solid, profitable company. The benefits package is pretty good.

Cons

The compensation structure penalizes high achievers. Upward mobility is about who you know (and whose coat tails you ride) vs one's track record of success and ability to do the job. Sales people are pigeonholed with limited flexibility to do their jobs.
