Pros

Reasonably stable employment. Due to the nature of the business, in times of national crisis the company thrives. We seem to have a lot of national crisis these days. Strong commitment to allowing work from home as much as possible.

Cons

Constant and mindless change and reorganization from Sr management. Its rare to go a year without a significant job title and/or responsibility scope change and those changes rarely to never are reflected in compensation.

Pros

Stability, along with a strongly branded name and recognition. The company provides essential goods and services and partners with customers to be solution experts. A true trusted partner. There is value walking in the door.

Cons

You will never maximize your true selling or earnings potential. The company is not designed to pay bonuses or commission. They are capped and extremely unattainable after a good year. Base salary is the lowest in the industry, along with no perks. Great job for a new sales person or someone looking for easy street. Management fairs much better, but advancement is extremely limited to its “Grainger” network...good ole boy culture.

Pros

All the people not in management are great

Cons

Have no idea what they're doing. The same small group of people constantly put everyone else through re-orgs yearly. Nothing gets done. The only products getting things done get squeezed and moved so others can take credit for it. They have horrible direction and the leadership has no respect from any of the workforce.
