Pros

At one time years ago.....it was a great place to work. The transformation was much needed but has dragged on for two years and people are worn out.

Cons

The executive team has been watching good people leave for two years now and still can't seem to lead the company in the right direction. Jim Roberts is not a leader. He should step aside and let Tom Case show him how to run a successful business!

Such a shame...

Pros

Granite had a great culture and was a great company to work for when Bill Dorey was leading. It was also a good performer that had opportunities to do even better.

Cons

With the insulation of the leaders and the lack of experience and willingness to change at the very top, it's such a shame that a very good company (that could have been great), is being destroyed to benefit a very few at the top.

Pros

Great coworkers 6% 401(k) match No health insurance premiums for high deductible plan, plus HSA contribution 10 paid holidays and 10 vacation days from the start Nice facilities Company picnics and BBQs Some tuition reimbursement for degree in your field

Cons

Poor mid and upper management CEO doesn't care to get to know people beyond upper management, even at corporate office Slow to change. Too bureaucratic and need approvals from too many people Runs too lean at times so employees are usually expected to get a lot done in 8 hours or work late - workaholic culture Many managers don't want their employees to take longer vacations so they end up maxing out their accrual Disconnect between corporate and field offices Pay could be more competitive for some positions
