Pros

It's a brain teaser... I have 2 monitors...

Cons

-The owner walks around shirtless after using the company gym, best to eat after you come to work so you don't lose your breakfast! -COO walks around taking notes of people on their cell phones -HUGE turn over rate, my dept has been understaffed for about a year now, they can't get people to stay, temps realize they have walked through the gates of hell -The company will unblock sites during the holidays to catch people shopping which ends in a written or you getting fired -They try to partner with sites like these to take down the bad reviews which are the only real ones -If you're late you can't make it up, your pay gets docked -While other companies let you leave early the day before a holiday or when the weather is really bad (snow storm), they expect you to stay and work your scheduled shift -No yearly raises, you have to be promoted to get more money -At 5pm, you get to see the running of the bulls, the parking lot is a death sentence -If you are not a robot, you won't last long -Monday morning meetings to worship the guy who thinks he's the high school prom king -Quarterlies once a year -Multiple meetings that just repeat the same things over and over again, but pay attention, pop quiz at the end!

Pros

When learning I was discouraged and even threatened for asking too many questions. Everything is a big secret there and no one is willing to help anyone else out. They use smoke and mirrors on their clients. Sales is a boys club and if you aren’t in sales or a jock you have to be an attractive female. Hands down this is the worst place I have ever worked. And the Monday morning meeting where brass strokes each other egos is actually comical so that was a good way to start each week.

Cons

You are discouraged from asking questions. Sales is a boys club over there and if you aren't a jock or an attractive female you aren't part of the "team" (which I use very loosely). They play their customers with smoke and mirrors. Turnover is outrageous. There is an air of entitlement with anyone who has been there for any duration. You can run out of the door at 5 but you are expected to be available 24/7. Monday morning meetings where brass strokes each others ego is actually comical so at least you get to waste a half an hour of the work day while the work week wastes your life.

Pros

Granite has good benefits - insurance, gym

Cons

Granite treats experienced employees like they are children. You are constantly monitored on your PC, if you are late or away from your PC possibly working on an issue and not on your PC - HR will send a warning an you can be written up. I have worked at Granite for 5 years and have worked with many companies, if you want to lose your ability to work on your own and think for yourself this is not your company. Rob the CEO brags about not laying people off and says he would never do, well while he is making over 2B yes 2 Billion he laid off employees that were underpaid in the first place. Unless you are in the good old boy frat club this is place is toxic. He brags about donating millions of money a year to charities but it takes you 4 months to get a computer because there is no budget, what? He is actually hiring a new kid that has no telecom experience because he is the a political friends son, no experience in telecom. So fire the people that have experience and hire the young kid because he is a government figures son. That is a way to boost morale in the company, then triple everyone's quota so you do not have to pay them a bonus, kudos for you. Unless you are totally desperate for a job and want to be treated like a child then go for it. Wait for a quality job if you can, this is the worst place I have ever worked for out of 7 companies that I have worked for including cold call sales.
