Pros

The work (at least in my department) is very fulfilling, and I actually enjoy it. Lower management actually cared about those under them. Good employee resource groups (LGBTQIA one, women's one, multiple fitness ones, others). Really good 401k contribution match %. Free 24/7 gym for employees. Business casual dresscode. Location is right by the T and not too far from the highway. They also do lots of stuff for charity, if that's a thing you're into.

Cons

Very little upward mobility for Ops staff, despite what they tell you before you come onboard. Salaries are very low for the area, especially considering the importance of the work; it's almost like working for a charity. Departments (and even different teams in the same department) do not communicate with eachother effectively, if at all. Upper management will throw any and everyone under the bus - as others have said, if you're not in Sales they don't care in the slightest about you. Absolutely abysmal response to the current COVID-19 issues - didn't even send people home after someone at the company tested positive for it until five days after the fact. Benefits other than the 401k matching are not great. Parking lots are almost always full.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are glad that your work is fulfilling and you feel valued. We always strive for a great employee experience and culture, and continue to do so as we take valuable input from reviews. We care about each of our employees, and we're sorry to hear about your perception and concern about the COVID-19 response. We take this situation very seriously, like other companies, and obeyed orders from the Governor as soon as the work from home order was put in place. I would recommend you reach out to the Talent Management team to explore opportunities for growth as an operations employee, as we have many resources available. Please email TalentManagement@granitenet.com for further discussion.

Pros

Good gym onsite Volunteer opportunities Decent benefits Coworkers

Cons

This is an entry level company so don’t expect to grow here. You start out temping and work your way into a full time role. The pay is awful and won’t get much higher the longer you stay. The company as a whole is very generous towards charity but invests very little towards the talent that is within their company. My advice is to get experience using the different software Excel, Salesforce, SQL, etc then get out. You can find better jobs that treat their employees better and more money.

Thank you for your input and taking the time to write this review. Here at Granite we hope to give our employees a valuable culture and experience so we are disheartened to hear your experience was not fully as expected. Our team at Granite University can help you find different opportunities for growth and learning, therefore expanding your skill set. In fact, most positions in the company that are not considered entry level are filled by Granite employees. Should you have any other input, please contact our Talent Management team at TalentManagement@granitenet.com.
