Pros

There is a free gym at the HQ - the new HQ looked nice, though I never worked in it so can't add much more. I can only say great that it took 20 years to move somewhere actually decent the old place had mice and the CEO said in the main monday meeting he wasn't going to fix it (he wasn't kidding) . Lot of great coworkers that I bonded with for how much of a bleep show it was, glad to hear a lot of them work at better places now. I got really great experience from being worked to death that I can feel like I can work anywhere (genuinely mean that). The charity portion is also great I will admit- I participated in saving by shaving both years I was there. That being said, so many employees feel the backhanded effect of this when they're getting so underpaid. Great the company is charitable but they also wonder why there's no many left for them for raises, promotions, hiring more people....

Cons

Typical underworked/ underpaid- which is a lot of places I guess so I don't know still new in the work-fore. My main thing was operation employees were never treated with respect. 20 people from the PMO department left (including myself) in 8 months and no one was hired. No word if there would be replacements, no acknowledgement for those working OT and putting in extra work. So many supervisors left after giving it their all for years because C-level and direct upper management treated them so awfully. So if you're out of college work here for 2 years then get out- if your over the age of 26-27 find somewhere else, this isn't worth the stress or the money. You'll be lucky to afford a McDonalds value meal with the salary you get here (and that's after you work here for 2 years). It's also great to say I work somewhere else- I can't tell you how many concerned/sad faces I got when I told people i worked at Granite- goes to show the company image isn't great by the locals.
